Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup rolled oats 40 g
  • ½ cup low-fat or skim milk 120 ml
  • ½ cup water 120 ml
  • ½ medium apple chopped
  • 1 tablespoon 7 g ground flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon walnuts, chopped 7 g
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon Half spoon
  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds optional
  • Tiny pinch of salt Pinch

Equipment

  • 1 Sauce pan
  • 2 Stirring spoon
  • 3 Knife
  • 4 Cutting board
  • 5 Serving bowl

Method
 

  1. Add the rolled oats, milk and water to a saucepan.
  2. Cook over low-medium heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the chopped apple and cinnamon during the last 2–3 minutes of cooking.
  4. Turn off the heat.
  5. Stir in the ground flaxseed and optional chia seeds.
  6. Transfer the oatmeal to a bowl and top with chopped walnuts.
  7. Serve warm.
